It used to have a cult following though with $1 beers. The casino is smoky, dumpy, and not very nice. I haven't been in a while, because their room rates jumped and I can find more affordable options. That is it.Īnd I have stayed at Royale more than 5 times. Only reason that I would choose NYNY over Royale is if I wanted/needed a pool. They keep up with renovations surprisingly well, and update more frequently than NYNY.ĥ. Quality of the rooms are surprisingly nice. There is no need to walk through the casino to get to elevators, then down a long hallway. There are only 150 or so rooms on three floors, so you go out your door down a flight of steps, and you are about 30 feet from the main entrance to the property. You can get from inside of your room to the strip in literally less than a minute. Rooms have fridges (ones you can use, as opposed to the ones fully stocked that charge you $10 for the water you barely moved at NYNY), and coffee makers.ģ. Here are reasons that the Royale is NOT to be slept on (pun intended).Ģ. Rooms are not the nicest and it is a long walk to get to the elevators (more on that later). Casino is more lively than most and food options are good. I am not a contrarian, but I mildly disagree with every post so far.
